Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the LeanLoop mobile application and related services. By using LeanLoop, you agree to these terms.

1. About LeanLoop

LeanLoop is a weight-loss companion app that uses personality-based coaching to help you build daily habits. It provides focus recommendations, reflection prompts, check-in tracking, and progress insights.

LeanLoop is not a medical service. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet, exercise, or health routine.

2. Accounts

Guest accounts. You may use LeanLoop as a guest. Guest data is stored on your device and on our servers, but is not recoverable if you lose access to your device without creating an account.

Registered accounts. You may create an account with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.

Age requirement. You must be at least 13 years old to use LeanLoop. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free tier. The core LeanLoop experience, including daily focus, reflection, check-ins, streak, and basic coaching, is free.

Premium. LeanLoop may offer Premium features in the future, such as advanced coaching intelligence, pattern insights, weekly coach reviews, and additional features. If Premium is available in your version of the app, it may be offered as a monthly or annual subscription.

Billing. If you purchase a subscription, it is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account. Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

Free trial. If offered, the free trial gives full Premium access for the stated period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.

Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective refund policies.

4. Your Content and Data

You retain ownership of all data you enter into LeanLoop, including check-ins, reflections, and personal information. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data to provide the service.

You can delete your account in Settings. You can also contact us about data access or export requests. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use LeanLoop for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free trials or promotions
  • Share your account credentials with others

6. Health Disclaimer

LeanLoop provides general wellness information and habit-building tools. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice.

  • Do not rely on LeanLoop for medical decisions.
  • Weight loss results vary by individual. LeanLoop does not guarantee any specific results.
  • If you have an eating disorder, a history of disordered eating, or any medical condition affected by diet or exercise, consult a healthcare professional before using LeanLoop.
  • Stop using LeanLoop and seek medical attention if you experience any adverse health effects.

7. Intellectual Property

LeanLoop, its design, content, coaching text, archetype system, and brand are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

You may share your archetype result, progress cards, and milestone achievements using the share features provided in the app.

8. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep LeanLoop available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If paid subscriptions are available, we will notify you of significant changes that affect your subscription.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LeanLoop is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to health outcomes, data loss, or service interruptions.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid for LeanLoop in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using LeanLoop and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. If paid Premium features are available, your right to use those features ends immediately upon termination, but you can still contact us about data access or export requests within 30 days.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of LeanLoop after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
